Heat 1 of the 2022 DF95 Club Championship was held on Sunday morning in a typical shifty easterly breeze. We had a great turnout of 10 boats for the first race, which gradually reduced to 7 boats in the final (9th) race due to EMFs (electro-mechanical failures). A good course was set by the Race Officer Keith Morris, with the right hand end of the start line biased toward the wind and the left end closer to the mark, making the full length of the start line useable.  Racing was close, with 5 different boats each scoring a win. In the end it was Ron Viney who took the flag,  with Adam Viney just one point behind in 2nd place and Fred Webber in 3rd place. Full results below. Don’t forget we are racing DF95s on Tuesday (1pm-3pm) and DF65s on Sunday (9.30am-11.30am).
