Race report; Tuesday 28th Aprill, 2026, the DF65 model boat racing took place in surprisingly dry conditions (considering the wet weather forecast) with the wind oscillating around, from the North East direction with larger puffs of breeze from another direction. The light  winds provided an interesting and challenging environment for all the competitors.  The race format was scratch racing, and we had 14 sailors and 10 races.  The starting line was very busy with a few races giving individual recalls for OCS (thanks Bev). It was decided to have a course with a windward buoy, spreader mark and leeward gate for the first three races. Wind changed and slight course change.  With the 10 races completed, we had 4 different individual winners.  Great to see Greg T, in his first racing in the DF95.

As you can view in the results, not many points between positions.  Congratulations to Nick J on overall winner, with Ron V in second and Nick R in third. 

Special thanks to Bev  for starting and finishing everybody with various helpers on the finishing, as it was close finish for many boats. Lewis for assistance for setting up the course. Additionally, thanks to everyone for their assistance and the recovery of the marks at the end of the day . Thanks to Fred for race assistance and compiling of the results,
