Quite a windy afternoon today at Wanderers Lake, with a steady 14 knot sou westerly, punctuated with an occasional stronger gust. The whole fleet made the correct choice of A rig. We completed eleven races with nine competitors.
The starts were fiercely contested, and the PRO was “almost” lenient on noses over at the gun.
Early on the most consistent competitor was Keith Morris , but he later had gear failure which put him out of the placings.
There was a fierce contest at the pointy end with Kim Klaka just edging out Barry Glazier for first place. Phil Condor finished strongly to take third place. Bruce Robbins and Brian Schneider were in persistent contention in most races…and there was an impressive display first up by Tim Ord , who will soon be a winning threat.
Fred Schoch and Lewis Arndt both were hampered by gear problems.
Very competitive afternoon.. calmly administered by Anne Morris.
Thanks, from the PRO to Phil Condor, Lewis Arndt, Kim Klaka, Barry Glazier and Keith Morris for their very helpful suggestions on how the course should be set!
