Sunday 65's
"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;” My apologies to William Shakespeare.
It didn’t auger well for Wayne Coleman and I when we decided to lay the buoys out in the hope the rain would ease up or stop at 1130. The rain clouds kept rolling in.
Well, BoM got it half right in that we had NE’ly winds 6 - 10 knots, but the rain pppp..persisted.
Our number swelled to 3 when Barry Glazier arrived at 1230 and it was still raining.
Since we had such a good course laid out it was decided to have a series of informal one lap races with each of us taking in turns to do the countdown from 20 seconds .
We managed 6 races with Wayne taking out 3, Keith 2 and Barry 1, by this time although the rain had eased a little it was decided to call it a day.
So it was back home to a nice hot shower and a cup of tea….Ah sailing, don’t you love it.
